Indoor Pool to host inaugural underwater Easter egg hunt

Visit the Fort Gordon Indoor Pool April 12 for a unique twist to an old classic - the pool’s first underwater Easter egg hunt.

Doors will open at 9 a.m. and the event will last until 12:30 p.m. The event is $5 per participant, and free for the accompanying adults.

The whistle will blow every thirty minutes to allow a different age-group into the water for the hunt. Participants will collect as many eggs as they can and redeem the collected eggs for prizes. Top egg collectors in each age group will receive a special prize.

While waiting for their age group, families can participate in various activities that will be set up around the deck. The Easter Bunny will be there to take pictures, so don’t forget your camera.

Participants not in the 3-to-5-years age group must have swimming ability and be confident in the water without a parent. No registration is required; pay the morning of the event. The event is open to the first 200 participants and is open to the public.
