The six men ran over 250 miles in a relay style run concluding the run at the Fort Gordon Fisher House where they were greeted by the Signal Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon Commanding General, Maj. Gen. LaWarren V. Patterson, Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald Pflieger, Garrison Commander, Col. Samuel G. Anderson, and the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center Commander, Col. John P. Lamoureux and Command Sgt. Maj. Ricky Dean along with over a hundred cheering Soldiers from the advance individual training school house.

“The team raised more than $3,000 dollars during the four-day run but hopes that they raise awareness of the great work being done by the Warrior Transition Battalion and the Fisher House,” said Ray Miller.

The run was envisioned by Miller and his fellow runners as a way to help out wounded Soldiers while doing something fun, to show their respect and support.

Fisher House Manager Francisco Cruz Jr., greeted the runners at the Fisher House and thanked them for their effort. Recognition of the group was given by Patterson and Lamoureux.

The group will continue to gather donations for the next few weeks before the official donation is made to the Fisher House and the WTB.
