Magnolia Munchies, a cookbook chock-full of recipes with Southern charm and global flair, makes the perfect gift for cooks and foodies on a holiday shopping list. Compiled by the members of the Fort Gordon Spouses’ & Civilians’ Club, Magnolia Munchies features more than 250 recipes, including recipes for dishes served at the commanding general’s quarters. Magnolia Munchies is available at the Fort Gordon Thrift Shop and FGSCC events.

“Our members come from around the world as well as from the Augusta area and they bring with them a wealth of recipes representing diverse foodways,” said Angela Kennedy, FGSCC president. “Magnolia Munchies is a treasury of these unique and tempting recipes that avid cooks and foodies will want to have in their collection.”

Proceeds from the sale of Magnolia Munchies go toward annual scholarships and grants for community organizations and students affiliated with the military. In 2013, the club award more than $20,000 in scholarships and grants.

Copies of Magnolia Munchies are available at the Fort Gordon Thrift Shop, which is located in Building 39102 behind the Exchange in the Brems Barracks near Avenue of the States and 40th Street.

The Fort Gordon Spouses’ & Civilians’ Club is an active part of the Fort Gordon community that leads service projects, operates the Thrift Shop and provides volunteer opportunities, special events and activities. Membership in the club is open to anyone affiliated with Fort Gordon.
