Five decades of service

Maj. Gen. LaWarren V. Patterson, U.S. Army Signal Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon commanding general, recognized Jim Wilson, physical security specialist in the Directorate of Emergency Services, for 50 years of service in a ceremony held Nov. 12 in Darling Hall. “You have really gone above and beyond to make things happen for service members and their families here on Fort Gordon,” Patterson said. Patterson also recognized Wilson’s wife, Anne, for supporting her husband through his years of service. Wilson, who has served in a variety of roles during his tenure on the installation, thanked those attending the event. “You have made this a day I will never forget,” he said.
